The WIDOS 16000 is developed for the heating element butt welding of PE- and PP-pipes and fittings. It is a very solid and extremely rigid machine. Thus, you can work even under difficult conditions on the construction site and in the trench. The hydraulic unit moves the right double clamping device and controls the joining force precisely. It has a pressure backup for the support of the welding force during the cooling period and 2 quick-action couplings and an analogue pressure gauge for the exact indication of the pressure. Optionally also available as enclosed aggregate with junction box. The hydraulic unit and its operation are integrated in the basic machine. The planer has a chain drive in a closed aluminum housing and an automatic external chip removal. The planer blades are sanded on both sides and can therefore be used repeatedly. The anti-stick coated heating element has an electronic temperature control and a connecting cable with CEKON plug. A puller device at the basic frame prevents a sticking of the heating element to the heated pipe ends and thus enables simple handling. For the storage of the heating element and the planer a heat protected box is available. The WIDOS welding machines can easily be retrofitted with the WIDOS SPA weld log recording devices and are also available in CNC controlled version.
The extra solid steel construction of the WIDOS 16000 makes it particularly resistant. It is suitable for pipes and fittings made of PE and PP from OD 1000 up to OD 1600 and is developed for the daily rough application on construction sites and in the trench. The machine has on the fixed and movable side a double clamping device with quick clamping which is guided on 2 shafts. The hydraulic cylinders are placed next to the guide shafts for easier service resp. assembly or disassembly. The hydraulic control unit is connected with 2 flexible hoses with quick couplings. The double clamping device is screwed to the tubular steel frame. The outer fixed clamping element can be easily dismantled by removing only a few screws for better access in difficult accessible places, e.g. the manhole of the branch side of the T-piece. By removing them from the base frame the remaining unit can be used as 3-ring repair machine. The WIDOS 16000 is thus a 4-ring and a 3-ring machine in one. For the clamping of smaller dimensions diameter-depending clamping inserts are available. A lift-off device for the easy inserting and removing of the heating element and planer is available. The hydraulic slewing crane (Palfinger) can be attached to the basic machine. The so-called truck loading crane features a hydraulic double extension up to 5.40 m and may swing by appr. 400, thus being most suitable for handling heating element and planer. The slewing crane can be operated comfortably via remote control and is optionally equipped with all prescribed warning systems.
